1. The Terminator (1984)

Arguably the most famous movie to ever be shot in Fontana, “The Terminator” was filmed in and around the city in late 1983 and early 1984. The majority of the movie takes place at a gas station on Foothill Boulevard, which is still standing today. 2. To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995)

This 1995 comedy was shot almost entirely in Fontana, with many of the scenes taking place at the now-defunct Fontana Raceway. The movie tells the story of three drag queens who are stranded in Fontana and forced to take on a series of odd jobs in order to get home.

3. The Karate Kid, Part III (1989)

This 1989 martial arts movie was shot at various locations throughout Fontana, including at Inland Steel Company and at the now-defunct Kaiser Steel Mill. The film follows Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio) as he travels to Japan to compete in a martial arts tournament.

4. Iron Man 2008

Iron man is a 2008 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It is the first installment in the Iron Man trilogy. The movie was shot at various locations in and around Fontana, including Kaiser Steel Mill.

5. The Fast and The Furious (2001)

This 2001 action movie was shot extensively in Fontana, with many of the scenes taking place at the Auto Club Speedway. The film follows Brian O’Conner (played by Paul Walker) as he infiltrates a street racing gang in order to take them down from the inside.
