Alta Loma is a mostly residential district in the northernmost part of the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California. The area is bordered by the neighborhoods of San Antonio Heights to the west, Brentwood to the east, and Alta Loma to the south. Like its surrounding communities, Alta Loma serves primarily as a bedroom community for the more developed urban centers of the region. The area provides a comfortable living environment far from the busier parts of the city. The community is also home to Chaffey College, which sits to the east of the community along Haven Avenue. This college provides a wide selection of degrees and courses with many homes surrounding it, serving as convenient housing options for staff and students attending the college.
